This site was created in response to the need for Remote Music Learning at Selkirk Elementary School.

Our​​ Goal

To provide "Music Lessons" and "Music Fun!" in convenient digital formats, including: PDFs, videos, and links to other music learning websites.

Our​ Team

Mr. Hartwick
Music Educator

Mr. Hartwick has been a musical entertainer since childhood, and his first degree was a bachelor's in Theatre Education.

​He began his teaching tenure at Selkirk Elementary in 1999. His first assignment was teaching core subject areas to students in grades 6 and 7. In 2009, he was thrilled to take on the role of music educator. 

​Mr. Hartwick enjoys singing and playing stringed instruments like the guitar and the ukulele! He also has fun writing song parodies and creating digital music projects on GarageBand. He is currently learning to dance, play the piano, and speak French!

​FUN FACT: Mr. Hartwick also taught grade 6 & 7 in Faro and Dawson City!

Ms. Cooper
Painter, Performer, and Dance Instructor

Ms. Cooper has dedicated her time, energy and expertise to the performing arts community of Yukon for 38 years. She was instrumental in establishing a strong vital dance institute and community in the Yukon. Her contributions have enriched the lives of those she has taught, worked with and performed for.

​She inspires young dancers through innovative choreography and provides them with an environment that encourages greater learning, creativity, discipline, self-confidence and respect for all individuals. Her newest project, "Coyotes Dance!", will be an exciting addition to the Coyotes & Creators Music Factory!
